About the Role

Corryong Health is seeking a caring and compassionate Health Care Worker to join the Home & Community Care (HACC) team on a casual basis. For all enquiries, please contact the Community Care Manager, Lee Cresswell vie email [email protected]


To provide assistance in the flexible manner to each client in accordance with a care plan. This may include:

  • Provide practical and personal support to eligible and frail aged residents, residents with disabilities and families to maintain a quality of life and/or prevent early institutionalisation

  • Provide respite for usual full time carers of physically and intellectually disabled children and adults (specific)

  • Household domestic cleaning tasks

  • Perform tasks associated with personal assistance, such as assisting with showering, assisting client with shopping, banking, paying accounts, writing letters, assisting with cooking meals, and assisting clients with other duties as requested, including supporting people with selfmedication in response to assessed need by HACC Coordinator or District Nurse

  • Provide social and emotional support and companionship to the client or the carer of the client

  • Respect and maintain clients’ and colleagues right to privacy, dignity and confidentiality

  • Take appropriate action in a life threatening or emergency situation where an anticipated problem may occur, and report immediately to the Home Care Coordinator

  • Work within the guidelines of the rostering system including reporting to your coordinator. It is essential to honour your roster & not change within that system unless in consultation with your coordinator.

About the Company

Corryong Health (CH) is a public sector agency and one of six multi-purpose services in Victoria. CH is funded by Commonwealth and Victorian State Government funding, and provides a broad range of hospital, residential aged care, medical and primary health and community support services. We provide services to the Corryong community and operate a Medical Clinic, Health and Fitness Centre and Retirement Village.
